Our mission is to empower children, teens, and adults to develop the tools that they need to navigate their social world. Even a social person may encounter road blocks with interpersonal skills, applying effective problem solving strategies to social and personal situations, and planning and organizing their lives to create positive outcomes. When provided with coaching to develop and strengthen interpersonal skills you or your child will be better able to access activities of interest, become independent adults and have an improved quality of life.

What We Do Best

Service the Widest Clientele

In contrast to other agencies who only have experience with teaching beginner skills, Horizons Social Coaching is able to address more nuanced interpersonal skills for individuals with high functioning autism or social communication disorder from childhood to adulthood. The needs of these individuals may be harder to discern by the average person yet they can still greatly impact a person’s life. We are dedicated to developing those skills needed to more effectively navigate the social world.

Getting Started

What To Expect

How Does This Work?

Horizons Social Coaching, LLC is a behavioral health services agency. We use the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to provide small group and individual social coaching services to children, teens, and adults ages 8 and older. We also offer individual consultations to parents. Our client population may have developmental diagnoses such as high functioning Autism, ADHD, Nonverbal Learning Disorder, social anxiety, or related disorders. Or, they may not have any diagnosis but struggle with weaknesses in their “people skills”, problem solving abilities, or ability to tolerate frustration and remain calm.

1
Schedule An Intake

We will email or mail you an application for services. The first appointment is about 90 minutes long; for children's services the intake appointment is segmented into a parent interview and a child interview within the appointment.

2
Discuss Recommendations

Once you have completed an intake with Licensed Applied Behavior Analysist Kim O’Connell, we will discuss recommendations for group or individual services depending on your child’s needs.

3
Make A Plan

A behavior service plan with goals is also developed for your child. For group services your child will be thoughtfully placed in a group of peers in similar age range and abilities.

4
Determine Payment Plan

We accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield , Cigna, Tricare and Tufts Health Plan for clients who have a confirmed diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, or previous diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome or PDD - NOS. HSC is also billable as an out of network provider.
